I was inspired by the Beatles to start playing guitar when I was 8 years old, but I soon quit because I hated the dumb lessons I was taking. Two years later I picked it up again (but without lessons) and started my very slow but extremely enjoyable love for playing the guitar. This time around, my teachers were Hendrix, Clapton, Zappa, Page, Garcia, Duane and many others...I would sit in my room for hours with my stereo turned way up and my amp even louder and would try to copy the styles of my heroes and eventually ended up creating a style of my own. I have played in numerous bands over the years playing classic, punk and modern rock.

During my musical career I have had the opportunity to play on stage with the great guitarist Fiachna O’Braonain from Hothouse Flowers and the incredibly talented Michelle Shocked. My 13 year old daughter is now a bass player and is learning the classics of my era and the great music of today. I love sharing the passion of music with her and hope we both keep playing in bands for many years to come.
